Have I ever mentioned how amazing my husband is? If not, here’s me admitting it ❤️For years now, I have been all googley-eyed over these SMEG appliances and when I mentioned it to Eli this summer, he took note and surprised me with one for Christmas! It’s one of those items that I’d never ever buy for myself but I will use every day.
I am a total tea person. Fun fact – I drink tea every night before bed. I usually just heat my water in the microwave and call it a day but secretly it’s been a dream of mine to have a pretty and functional tea kettle that I could use instead.
I know what you’re thinking…”Sarah, it’s a week before Christmas how are you using it already?!” Well, since Eli got his gift about a week ago, we both agreed I should get to use mine, too. No complaints here 😉 Plus, I thought this would be a good chance for me to share my thoughts on the kettle if you are looking to get this for someone (or yourself) for Christmas!
To sum it up, I’m obsessed. It’s electric and can heat up to 7 cups of water at a time. It heats up in only a few minutes and viola! Easy as can be. I love the retro vibe and how cute it looks on my counter, too. That doesn’t hurt 😍
To display the new kettle, I wanted to use a little section of our kitchen to create a “tea bar”. I added a vintage tea cup/saucer from my great grandma, vintage sugar/tea jars and of course some mini bottle brush trees to make it festive! All of this on an antique cutting board and cake stand from Target and I’m calling it a tea bar win!
I’m looking forward to using this splurge item for years to come and making this little tea station change with the seasons. It’s my new favorite spot in the kitchen. Thanks for stopping by to see our mini tea bar and for checking out my new favorite toy. Cheers from my cup of tea to yours!
