Farmhouse Jute Rugs

One thing that I’ve learned from being a new home owner? Patience. It’s so easy when you move into your brand new home to feel like you want to do all the things, right here and now. It’s taking us time and money to get the pieces we want and need for our home but for now, I am counting each little piece of our house-puzzle as a win.

The main level in our house has hardwood flooring (here) that I knew I wanted to cozy up over time with area rugs. Since moving in, we’ve had to prioritize and focus on other things but we did go ahead and get a rug for our living room. One rug down, about three more to go. 😆 All in due time.

I have been eyeing up this one for months and I just kept going back to it. You know, that love at first sight feeling? ☺️ With a rug? Yeah, sure..why not!?

I love the jute and wool combo because of all of the texture it gives the room. This one in particular is super soft on the feet and ultra-heavy so it doesn’t do much sliding/moving around (we do have a rug pad underneath). I know that a common complaint about some jute rugs is the shedding but I’m happy to report that this one has barely shed…at all. We’re super happy with how much warmth this brought the room and since it practically goes with anything, I’m looking forward to using it for years to come.

I love jute in particular because of its durability and casual feel. I’m not a real fancy gal, after all. I found some other seriously swoon-worthy jute rugs that I just had to share with you peeps!
