You know those awkward spaces in your home that are so hard to decorate? That tiny little wall in the corner that isn’t big enough for a piece of furniture but not quite small enough to ignore? Yep, we have one of those in our living room.
I shared on my Instagram stories last weekend how I found this antique beveled mirror for an incredible…..wait for it……Twenty. Five. Dollars. You heard that right, twenty-five. I could hardly believe my eyes 😍 I love the trim along the outside and since it is SO heavy, I knew it was really old. The older, the better 💛
It was one of those pieces that I knew I couldn’t walk away from even though, I had no idea where I would put it in our farmhouse. I came home and after walking around aimlessly for a bit brainstorming of the perfect spot I saw this little corner in our living room and knew it would be a the best option.
With a little help of my willing husband, we hung this mirror and I’m loving how much it opened up the little corner. The mirror alone was a bit plain so I placed this old bookshelf along the wall to add interest. I’ve had the hardest time finding a spot for that bookshelf since it is so narrow but it fits in this little nook like a glove! It almost looks like it could be a built-in. Score!
Now for the fun part…styling! I went ahead and placed some old books, vintage treasures, greenery and photos on this shelf. Having a spot to display some of my favorite antique finds makes my heart happy. I’m excited to keep adding to these shelves as time goes on.
One of the most fun parts of moving into our new home has been finding pieces that feel like they have belonged here all along. It really is starting to feel like home these days ❤️
Thanks to all of you for being here on our journey! It’s been so much fun looking back at all of the progress we made and having this blog to look back on has been such a blessing. I’m excited to see how our home looks as the years go on..
Thanks for checking out the blog today and seeing what we’ve been up to recently. We have lots more projects ahead!

Thanks Micheala! I got most of these from the indoor plant section at Lowe’s/Home Depot 🙂
