We had some gorgeous weather here this past weekend and it inspired me to get outdoors a bit! I was so excited when I found these adorable vintage cash register numbers at an antique store and knew they would look adorable placed in a few of my plants.
I’ve never seen these on my antiquing adventures but I stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted them. I love the shape of them and the vintage lettering. Who know vintage cash register numbers would look so darn cute in 2019?!
The shop owner asked if the numbers that I picked out had any significance and honestly, they don’t. I just liked these ones! I’m certainly going to be on the hunt for more of these because I think they add such a fun surprising element to a somewhat boring potted plant.
Another new addition to the potting bench? These mini tera cotta pots. How stinkin’ adorable are these?! I can’t handle it. They’re so tiny but I love how much interest they add when they’re stacked together. I’m trying to decide if I want to actually plant something in them or just keep them as decor. What do you guys think?
This is one of my absolute favorite spaces to be in the spring/summer. I love being able to work with my hands here and tend to our plants in a cute little corner of our porch. I’m hoping to add some more vintage garden pieces to this little nook this summer. Here’s to hoping I can score a few amazing deals at flea markets and yard sales in the months to come!
I am so antsy to get more use of this space in the next few weeks and this little potting bench refresh has me all sorts of “inspired”. I thought this was a fun little idea on how to use something that was probably otherwise looked at as meaningless. I’m sure some of you antiquers can totally relate with me on the thrill of giving old finds a new purpose. I love using my creativity in this way and thinking outside of the box on how to use old pieces!
I hope that this little blog of mine is a fun little space to come to be inspired! I know it is for me. Thank you for being here and supporting my dreams
