Recently, I’ve been loving any vintage piece that has lots of cubbies or drawers. I want them all! I found this set a few weeks ago and was absolutely smitten right away.
How stinking cute!? Clearly, this little set is very old based on the wood and the knobs. It came with its original paint that is a deep navy blue color with hints of raw wood peeping through. In some light in looks dark grey but I see more of a navy color on most days.
I thought these would be fun to add in our kitchen. I love the height it brings the counter decor and the fun drawers that can actually serve as storage. I’m hoping to add my spice jars to these drawers once I get a bit of organization motivation. How awesome would it be to have spices labeled and in alphabetical order in these drawers?! Ok…now I’m dreaming.
I added a few more vintage finds around this piece to really bring out the vintage charm. I went with warmer tone woods and ironstone to liven up the dark paint color. I’m a sucker for vintage rolling pins and have grown quite the collection over time. I placed a few into a vintage mini crock and I think it brings out that authentic “farmhouse” vibe to this countertop.
My sister picked me up one of these adorable rosemary plants last week and I thought it would look perfect next to these drawers in our kitchen. I always keep fresh rosemary in our kitchen so that we can use it when cooking and oh, the smell is the best!
I placed some vintage ironstone on top of the cubbies because I thought it would be a perfect little spot to show off some of my mini-collections. These bowls are some of my all time favorites to use in our kitchen decor!
To add a bit of dimension to the countertop, I pulled out the bottom drawer and added in a few vintage kitchen utensils. Don’t ask me why, but I have this weird thing with vintage wooden kitchen utensils. Spoons…ice cream scoopers…you name it. I’m obsessed! I usually find these for next to nothing at flea markets in the summer.
I had lots of fun styling this little section of our kitchen and I hope it inspires you in your own home. Thanks as always for hanging out with me here on the blog and comment below what you’d store in these drawers!
