I always love getting my creative juices flowing and one of my favorite ways to do that is to create a few different looks in the same spot. One area of our home that I always love decorating is our kitchen sink. I thought this would be a fun time to show you guys a three ways to style your kitchen sink!
First and foremost, let me share a few tips to go by no matter which option you choose. I like to use three items in most displays like this. In my case I went with our dish soap, hand soap and a rosemary topiary. They always say odd numbers of things are more appealing to the eye than an even amount and I couldn’t agree more. You can switch up the items you use here to get to your three items.
Option 1: Wood Slicer/Cutting Board
I’ve had an antique wood slicer as our “base” for our kitchen sink items for a few months now. I love how it adds a bit of contrast against our white countertops! Mixing in vintage items really brings a lot of character to our kitchen so I really love tying in pieces like these wherever I can.
Option 2: Cake Stand
To add an option with a little more height, I used this cake stand from Target! This option is perfect if you’re worried about getting water from the sink everywhere. It’s a fool proof way to keep your items clean and on display for all to see! I always see vintage cake stands at flea markets and yard sales for next to nothing. A fun pop of color would be cute in the summertime, too!
Option 3: Stoneware Platters
I have a thing for old stoneware dishes. I’ve started a little bit of a collection and these two platters are some of my favorite pieces! By stacking multiple platters, it adds a bit more interest than just using one. This is probably the easiest of the options if you are a messy dish-do-er because they can easily be cleaned!
Well, there you have it: Three ways to style your kitchen sink area! I had fun styling each of these options and I hope it shows you how easy it can be to add interest to a typically boring part of your home. As always, thanks for being here! Be sure to share photos if you decide to try any of these options in your kitchen. Which option was your favorite?!
