Christmas is quickly approaching and I’ve been slowly starting to decorate our home for the holidays! When it comes to seasonal decor, little changes can make such a difference. Instead of buying a whole bunch of new decor each Christmas, I like to buy smaller pieces to switch up the vibe without breaking my bank.
Over the years, I’ve collected quite a few different Christmas garlands that I like to switch up in different areas of our home. This year I bought this adorable bottle brush tree garland and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. How stinkin’ adorable?!
Another little tip for ya: Garlands definitely don’t have to JUST be used on your Christmas tree. I like to put strands of garland over mirrors (like shown here), on top of tables or even draped over furniture. There’s really no rules.
I always love combining multiple garlands to create a layered look! Layering creates a bit more interest to the eye and takes it a step-up from just a single strand.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite garland options this season. I’m loving anything with wooden beads, cozy textures or shiny metals. There’s so many different options and routes you can take when it comes to decorating with garlands.

Super post, Sarah! I love garland but never thought of using more than one to get that texture. Love it! Your selections are so cute! Nothing looks… er, cheap. lol! Thanks for the links.
Please stop by the blog–I have some questions with redoing a bath and would love for you to weigh in.
