I don’t share too many photos of our foyer on the blog. The main reason is that we don’t have too much going on in that space yet. It’s one of the spaces I’ve neglected since moving in because it feels a little daunting to decorate, if I’m being honest. I really wanted to make the space feel a little more inviting by adding something to the wall that is directly in front of you when you walk into our home.
Since this wall is on the side of our stairs, the shape of the wall is a little odd & hard to decorate. I’ve been trying to brainstorm of fun (& budget-friendly) ways that I could temporarily decorate this space until we make more permanent updates.
I found these photo ledge shelves at Target on sale for only $11 each. I picked up two of them immediately and knew that they would work perfectly on this awkwardly-shaped wall in our foyer.
These photo ledges came with mounting hardware so installation was as easy-as-pie. Eli mounted these in a staggered placement so that the shelves flowed well with the shape of the wall.
On our shelves, I wanted to do a mixture of photos, frames, small plants & vintage goodies. I basically used lots of little trinkets that I had lying around. You could totally stick with picture frames if you wanted, but giving the shelves a little variety made me love the space a whole lot more. The pops of greenery help to bring the space to life & adding in a few vintage finds adds a lot of character.

I love that the shelves add a fun element to the wall. Being able to switch up the decor/frames/photos will be so much fun with the change of seasons. I really feel like photo ledge shelves like these would make such a cute addition to any wall that you’re having trouble decorating in your home. They’re a fun & unique spin on typical wall-mounted frames.
I have linked below the photo ledge shelf that we used! YAY for budget-friendly (& super cute) decor. Thanks for popping by the blog today, friends.
