I know. I just KNOW what you’re thinking…..”Autumn?! Sarah, it’s August 15th!” I realize that I am a little early to Fall decorating but my goal is to give you guys some ideas before the season officially hits. Maybe, just maybe, something on this little page of mine inspires you to do the same. I wanted to share our neutral living room decorated for Autumn.
This week I wanted to give our living room a little autumn refresh that wouldn’t scream, “I am fall hear me roar!” I went pretty simple in here for now and will definitely be adding more pumpkins/fall decor as the season approaches. This week, I just removed all of the fresh greenery that I had in here for summer and decided to add in some warm wood tones, faux mini pumpkins and some earthy dried flowers.
I felt particularly inspired to start in the living room since we got a new rug in here this week! I was holding off on buying any rugs for our home until Oakley was trained. At this point, he has been accident-free for about 6 weeks! In the meantime, I found a wool/jute rug that I have had my heart set on. I saved up for weeks to get it and I just love how it warms up the space. To read more on our new rug & lots of neutral farmhouse area rugs that I’m loving, check out this blog post! This room is by far the one that we spend the most time in so it feels amazing to have at least one room somewhat put together.
It’s so crazy to see what a few little updates can do for a room. I am loving how warm and cozy it feels. Our neutral slipcovered sofa is the perfect compliment to all of these fall touches! I am such a sucker for neutral and cozy farmhouse decor.
I hope this blog post excites you for the upcoming season. Fall is my favorite time of year, so having cute decor in our living room is making my heart swell. It’s the little things, right?! I hope seeing our neutral living room decorated for Autumn was inspiring for you in some way. Thank you all so much for stopping by the blog today and happy fall decorating!
