Time flies when you’re having fun. With an almost 9-month-old, I am just now getting around to sharing her room on my blog! I had so much fun hand-picking items for this space to make it a sweet area for her to grow up in. I love how this neutral simple baby girl nursery turned out and I’m so excited to share it with you all, today.
After stumbling into this stunning neutral Rylee + Cru Dainty Leaves Wallpaper, I knew it would make the cutest accent in this space. We installed beadboard around the bottom half of the nursery walls using our technique you can see, on this blog post. After the DIY beadboard wall treatment was installed, we applied the wallpaper to the upper portion of the wall behind Ellie’s crib. We chose this wall in particular because it’s the one you see when you first walk into the room!
I used some of the scrap wallpaper to apply to the custom wooden name sign I had made from a shop on Etsy. The font of this one was my favorite & I loved adding a little custom touch by adhering scrap wallpaper to it using mod podge.
As for furniture, we went with the Pottery Barn Costa line in Weathered White. I love the raw and cool look of the dresser and crib. The quality is top-notch and we couldn’t be happier with these selections. I think these would work great for a neutral boy nursery, too!
Next to the dresser, we put this boucle swivel glider & small upholstered cube. They bring the cutest cozy touch to this corner next to this tall faux olive tree & set of floral watercolor prints on the wall. The floral prints coordinate with the wallpaper almost perfectly! Don’t you love when that happens?!
One element I wanted to include in this neutral nursery was dried florals. I gathered up a bunch and created this DIY floral crib mobile and used the rest in this bubble vase. These florals add a girly-touch to the space without incorporating pink!
To complete the room, we decided to add a designated “play area” for Ellie’s toys and books. I found this 8 cube organizer on Amazon and added these chunky wooden legs to add a custom look. This raised the organizer off the ground a bit and it turned out great!
I decided to add some cute accents in this area to liven up the space! This cozy kids tulip chair, pom-pom canvas storage bins, modern grey lamp & empire shade are some of my favorites. This area of the nursery is practical and fun! I already know there will be lots more to add to these shelves in the near future.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this neutral simple baby girl nursery turned out! I tried to keep things minimal but practical for now until she is old enough to pick what she loves. Thanks so much for checking out the blog today! It means a lot to have you here & letting you into our home a bit.
