Over the past few months, we have decided to give our dining room a bit of a refresh. By opting for a smaller table that we thought would better fit the scale of the space, we decided a smaller cabinet was also on the list. After lots of searching, I fell in love with this arched display cabinet by Kathy Kuo Home. On this post, I’ll share all the details on it and how I decorated it.
The newest addition to this space is the Ivan Mid Century Clear Glass Black Solid Oak Wood 2 Door Arched Display Case from Kathy Kuo Home. I opted for the black wood tone with brown interior. I love the timeless, modern-yet-rustic, & elevated vibe of this cabinet. The antique brass hardware flows well with the rest of the fixtures in the space. Immediately, I was impressed with the quality of this piece along with other furniture items we have ordered from KKH. It can be hard to find quality furniture stores online, but add this one to your list!
As soon as this piece arrived, I was excited to start decorating! For my general tips on styling shelves, check out this post, HERE. Using these guidelines, I was able to use items that we had in storage to completely style this black dining cabinet.
As with most of the decor in our home, I decorated using a mix of antique and new items. I love the visual pairing of old and new. My favorite tip: be sure to add some plants (real or faux) in your cabinet decor to liven it up! Some items I included in this styling: stoneware dishes, plants, a cook book, wooden bowls, candlestick holders, vintage crocks, books, woven baskets, antique alarm clock, and a beveled frame decorative mirror.
I hope this post is helpful in giving inspiration on how to decorate an arched display cabinet. We sure do love this new addition to our dining space! I look forward to decorating it as the seasons and years continue.
