Can you believe that the new year is already here? 2026! One my goals this year is to stay better organized in our storage room and scale down our seasonal decor. Each January, I get the itch to organize and simplify. I’m taking this nudge and stocking up on some essentials that will help. I took a quick trip to my local Lowe’s Home Improvement store and grabbed a few practical storage solutions that I will share with you today!

I’m using a new organization hack this year that I am hoping will keep me more organized with seasonal decor. I love using clear tote storage bins to be able to see what’s inside. The only problem? Deciphering what each tote is for from a distance. At Lowe’s, I found this 3M Multi-Use Duct Tape that comes in many colors. I grabbed this tape in a few colors and plan to use a different color for each season/holiday. Red for Christmas, yellow for Fall, etc.
I also picked up a few new clear storage bins. There was a wide selection of sizes and for a great price! These Project Source storage bins are easily stackable and having cohesive bins has helped my storage room look a little more tidy. Here’s to hoping this little hack comes in handy the next time these bins are needed in 2026.
