This weekend I made a trip to our local Target to share some of my current favorites with you all via Instagram stories. You guys seem to love when I do this and I do too because it gives me an excuse to go to Target and well….I will never turn down a Target-run! 😉 Aren’t they the best?! You can come follow along (here) Once I found this raw pine floating shelf and realized all of the hardware was included, I had this in my cart faster than you could say, “floating shelf.” 👏🏼 They had tons of styles, colors and finishes but I chose the pine shelf since I thought it would tie into our master bathroom pretty well. The vanity in our bathroom is a raw pine so by coordinating these two pieces it has really made me fall in love with how this space is coming along. I decided to put this little shelf on the wall behind our toilet. This little nook was one that I wanted spruce up just a little. It’s not the most interesting place to design but I had fun with this one!I am obsessed with the raw wood look of this shelf and I am glad I found one that it isn’t too raw. It does bring a little bit of warmth against the cool color of our walls. I went with the 24 inch shelf since I wanted it to be a wide enough to hold a picture frame or larger bathroom canisters but didn’t want it totally take up the wall. It’s just right. Most of the floating shelves I have seen don’t include hardware so that always turned me away from purchasing them. I am so glad Target includes all that you need and then some. Target for the win! 🎯My hubby and I were able to hang this shelf in about ten minutes. Easy peasy! Now for the fun part….decorating! I propped up this engagement photo of ours as a base. This photo is one of my all time favorites and the black and white is so romantic. I love being able to see this every morning while getting ready for the day ahead ❤️My Target run also stumbled me into these little Hearth and Hand amber bottles. I am really loving amber this season! Each vase had a faux eucalyptus sprig stuffed in them and I switched that out for some of the extra dried flowers that I had. I will keep the eucalyptus sprigs to use in the springtime! I placed the remainder of the dried flowers on the shelf and tied it together with a little dainty ribbon. It’s all in the details, guys. ☺️ Next, I propped up some vintage love letters and a chippy piece of antiuqe hardware against the large frame. Being able to use little items like these add so much interest. Side note– Does it get any more romantic than a set of love letters written during WWII? I think not. ❤️😍This was a super easy project and it has added so many fun elements to this seemingly “boring” space in our master bathroom. I went ahead and shared what I used below and threw in a few others that I loved. Share photos if you decide to try it for yourself! You can always do multiple shelves in different sizes too…how cute would that be!? Thank you all so much for your constant support. I love creating and sharing with you and I am grateful to be able to!
