Everyday Makeup Routine

Hi gals! I love connecting with you all so much and hearing what you want to see from this blog. I had quite a few suggestions for my everyday makeup routine so I am stepping a wee bit out of my interior design comfort zone and sharing my process with ya 💕
First things first. I am a simple girl. Always have been, always will be. My makeup routine? I like to keep it simple, too. For my everyday look I use a total of 5 products and if I’m jazzing it up a bit I will add in about 3 more. I have tried tons of products over the years and finally found myself repeating the same few that I’m sharing today. These are my tried and true products that I have known and loved for years.
First up is the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. I discovered this product about two years ago and love it for a few reasons. It’s lightweight, yet super build-able so the coverage can be more or less depending on how much you use. I apply a bit of it using my fingertips until it is all blended on my face. In the summer, I will wear this product alone to give myself a little “filter” for days I am not wanting to do the full routine. It has SPF 20 for some protection against the sun. My momma always told me to layer on that SPF…thanks mom 😘
Next, one of my holy grails. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Y’all…if you aren’t loving your concealer or have never used concealer (like me a few years ago) you need this in your life. It is full coverage that isn’t too thick. It hides all of the late nights, hangovers, zits, you name it 🙌🏼 I apply this using a beauty sponge. Right now I am using this orange one by Real Techniques but if you’re looking for the real deal, Beauty Blender is the way to go. $20 for a sponge? You can decide for yourself. But there really is some magic in this sponge, I’ll admit.
Ok another one of my “I’ll never be converted or change my ways” products. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. An odd name for a mascara but gosh is it wonderful 🤣 I am willing to say nothing will top this mascara for me. I am not uber blessed with long and thick lashes so this has been a god-send. Worth. Every. Penny.
I have been using this Anastasia Brow Dip Pomade for years now. Mind you, it has been the same jar. This product lasts for eternity, I’m convinced. A little bit goes a long way and the brush helps apply the product like the pros. Watch out, Kim K.

I’m not sure if I have somehow tricked my mind to believe that this step makes my eyes “pop” and look bigger or not, but regardless, I will continue doing it. I bought this nude eye pencil years ago and apply this to my bottom water line. Especially for dark-eyed girls like me, it works! 👏🏼
On an average work day I will stop the routine at this point. If I’m going out, taking photos or going to a special event I will add a few more steps to my routine. I apply this Too Faced bronzer in the “3” contour shape, topped with some Becca highlighter in “Opal” all of the spots the light touches and finalized with Too Faced Sketch Marker Eyeliner on the outer half of my top lid.
That’s all she wrote! Like I said, I don’t do anything extravagant and keep it pretty simple in the beauty department. Just how I like it.
