EEEEEPPP!! I can not believe I brought home this beauty last weekend. Can you tell how excited I am?! I have been on the hunt for the most perfect dining room cabinet for months now. We have a fairly large dining room with lots of wall space that I wanted to fill with a big ‘ole antique cabinet. I had a lot on my wish list for this said dream hutch. On my list? A true antique with lots of storage, functional drawers/doors, and open shelving. The cabinets that I found that fulfilled my wishlist were sadly all way out of my budget. I knew I would find one within reason if I was patient enough to wait it out. I am so thankful that I took my time finding the perfect cabinet for this space. My sister sent me a photo of this hutch and I knew right away it was meant to be. My sister and I have very similar taste so she knew right away, too. What are sisters for?! 💕 This is probably my favorite piece of furniture in our home now. It is a show stopper in our dining area and I am so happy that I now have a place to display a lot of my antique finds. What good are they hiding behind closed kitchen cabinets, anyways? Now I have a space to style some fun items that have spoken to me throughout the years. It makes me so happy to be able to see some of these finds on the daily 😍 Some of my favorite features are the bead board backing, original hardware, distressed paint and its height. On our main level, we have 9 ft ceilings so I am glad we found a cabinet that is pretty tall. We have plenty of room to decorate on top of the cabinet too which is a major plus! After some soap and magic eraser this beauty is making all of my dining room dreams come true. It still needs a little bit of work, which I will get to at a later date. The sides of the cabinet were left unpainted so I will need to paint those and hopefully find a color similar to the one that the front is painted now🤞🏼 Stay tuned for that… Keeping consistent with the theme of our dining table centerpiece (here), I used copper elements and dried eucalyptus. It flows together so well and little by little our house is starting to feel like home ☺️ It is so much fun seeing visions come to life and rooms take shape. I hope that you all are enjoying seeing this progress here on the blog. It is crazy to see how far we have come in a few short months.Thank you all for checking out the blog today and if you are in the market for a piece and are holding out for just the right one….wait it out girlfriend! It will be worth it, trust me.
