Baby Registry Favorites For Moms, By Moms

Pregnancy comes with so many fun celebrations and preparations. One of those exciting things to prepare? A baby registry. Putting together a registry can be overwhelming to say the least. Before blindly adding items to my list, I thought it would be a good idea to head straight to the source. I asked the moms from my Instagram community to share their favorite item from their registry! Today, I’ve compiled all of the results and am sharing all of the baby registry favorites for moms, by moms.

I’m hoping, by asking experienced moms, I can come up with a really helpful list of baby registry favorites. The goal is for this to be a great resource for expecting mamas or those who have a special mama-to-be in their life. Below, I shared the most frequently suggested items that moms swear by!

• Sound Machine – This was the MOST recommended item (most commonly, the Hatch brand). The Hatch has a built-in night light & time-to-rise feature, too!
• Healthcare Kit / Thermometer – Not the things that gets you overly excited, but practical! Better to have these on hand when needed than be scrambling with a sick little one.
• Monitor – Lots of options to choose from for baby monitors – this is personal preference. Here’s the one I’m looking at with great reviews! A few friends have mentioned they stick to monitors that don’t rely on wifi. This will avoid any hacking and keep your kiddos on your eyes & your eyes only!
• Boppy Pillow – This was one of the most highly suggested baby registry items! So versatile for feeding and baby support.
• Diaper Bag – Lots of options on diaper bags – this is again, personal preference. I think I’ll go with a backpack style one (like the one linked) for comfort!
• Bath Seat – Gotta get that baby squeaky clean! I love this one from Amazon & it has 5 stars!
• Swing – This one seems to be hit or miss – some babies love them & others, not so much. Regardless, some moms say this is the only way they could get things done around the house. Wouldn’t hurt to have one just in case your baby is pro-swing!
• Burp Cloths / Cloth Diapers – I would imagine you go through these like crazy in the first few months. Some moms recommended using cloth diapers for burp cloths because they’re more absorbent – genius!
• Haakaa – Cord and assembly-free breast pump. Oh, and under $30! Might not be necessary for everyone but would be great for any mama planning on giving breastfeeding a try.
• Baby Brezza – Think of it like a Keurig for babies. It automatically dispenses warm water to making formula feeding a little easier!
• Pacifiers – No explanation needed, here!
• Snuggle Me Organic / Dock-a-Tot – Loved and adored by lots of moms out there. Portable & lightweight baby loungers that are great for supervised play or relaxing.
• Zipper Sleepers – Ok moms, I hear you loud and clear – zippers are the way to go! A little more functional than dealing with all of those itty-bitty snaps in the middle of the night.
• Bottles – So many brands/shapes/sizes out there. This may be a bit of personal preference, too. These glass ones look like they’d clean up nicely!
• Bassinet – The Halo Bassinet seems to be a crowd favorite! So many options and price ranges – depending on what you’re looking for.
• Baby Bath Soap / Lotion – Adding things like this to your registry will make for one less thing to buy at the store! Moms seem to love Aveeno & Burt’s Bees.
• Car Seat – Again, lots of options at different price ranges. Do your research on what will work best for your family! This one will take you from the infant to toddler stage, in one.
• Diapers – Can you ever have enough? Add lots of different sizes to your registry to be sure to get a variety.
• Swaddles – Another highly recommended item. There were numerous suggestions on the Love to Dream swaddles – a zipper swaddle that allows baby’s arms to be over their head and calm their startle reflex. Adding these to my registry, for sure!
• Bouncer / Rocker – Another safe place to put your little before they start moving around on their own!
• Owlet Smart Sock – A baby heart rate and oxygen monitor. This one was one of the most recommended items. It’s a bit of an investment but may be worth it for some peace of mind while baby is sleeping!
• Bibs – So many cute patterns and colors! I love this pack of muslin bibs – too cute!
• Stroller – Definitely a larger item you’ll want to add to your registry. It would be a great gift for a few baby shower guests to go in on together. Do your research on what will work best for you and your family!
• Changing Pad – Love that these ones are wipeable! No need to wash a changing pad cover.
• Baby Mattress – Another item that can get a little pricey. Be sure to measure your crib to be sure it is standard size before adding to your registry! Lots of mamas love the Newton mattress for its breathability.
• Ointments – Don’t forget the little things. So many recommendations for Aquaphor and Bordeaux’s Butt Paste. Stock up on your registry with items like these!
• Baby Carrier / Wrap – Last but certainly not least! These were listed NUMEROUS times by my mama friends. Wear these out and about or at home. Have baby with you and be hands-free. Definitely adding these to my wish list!
