Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, I’m ready to bring some holiday cheer to every part of our home! I love decorating the outside of our home because it sets the tone for the holiday cheer you’ll find inside. This year, I created this cheerful winter front porch scene and I’m loving how it turned out!

I wanted to use the same white wooden planters that I used during the fall but just swapped out the mums for some winter greens. These were from my local Lowe’s store & I love the unique shape and whimsical winter vibe. So cute right?!

While I was at Lowe’s, I also picked up this mixed winter wreath! I love the fullness of it and the varying winter greens add so much interest to our front door.

As a personal touch, I included a few ribbons that I had in my office! I wanted to use a few pops of red this year on our front porch because I thought it would look super pretty against our white siding. I found this deep red velvet ribbon and also a creamy white one and tied them in a little bow for a charming touch.

Decorating spaces rarely comes with no issues and this time was no different. The greenery “trees” that I picked up were in a container that was a little too large for my planters. I decided to wrap a few throw blankets that I had around the top of each planter to hide the portion that was popping out of the top.

I’m actually really glad that I ran into this problem because I love the red touches! It makes it look like the plants are wearing sweaters and I mean…does it get any more cozy than that!?

To finish it off, I moved this black & white striped rug in front of our door. This rug used to be under our porch swing but since we aren’t exactly using that this time of year, I thought it would be better utilized right here. I love how it ties together the black & white on our house and gives the area a nice anchor.

I’m excited to see how our front porch looks when the snow starts to fall! Something about this time of year makes me so so happy. Anyone else!?

Thank you all so much for checking out the blog today. It means so much to have you here!

This is super, super cute, Sarah! I have an urn on my porch and I’m always a little stumped with what to put in it for the holidays after the mums die. I have to hit Lowes. I also love the bright mismatched scarves around the base!! Thanks for the inspo!

Sure thing, Jane!! I love going to Lowe’s or even Walmart for affordable porch decor/greenery. Thanks for stopping by!!
