Recently, I’ve been on a mission to start slowly introducing clean makeup products into my everyday routine. I started out on a little quest a few weeks ago to start testing clean beauty products to replace my toxic ones. I’m not sure if I’m the only one with this perception or not, but I’ve always been convinced that clean products just can’t do the job as well as the regular stuff? Well, I’ve been proven wrong. Today I’m sharing the clean face makeup products that actually work!
After a bit of trail and error, I’ve been able to successfully replace my toxic foundation, concealer & setting powder with cleaner products. My hope was to find products that were both clean & effective. I didn’t want to have to sacrifice the quality of the product for the cleanliness of it. Here are the three clean face makeup products that I’m loving right now:
1. Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation –
An Australian-based company created this medium-to-full coverage foundation that claims to “deeply nourish and hydrate your skin for a subtle, lit-from-within glow.” I love this foundation! It’s highly build-able & gives a great base of coverage. I’ve found it applies best with a liquid foundation brush (as instructed on the product description) – using a beauty blender just didn’t cut it with this. A solid moisturizer is definitely necessary under this product as it can cling to dry patches if you have any. It feels lightweight and definitely gives the soft glow it claims. My only gripe with the Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation is the shade options (there are only six). This may make it difficult for those with extremely fair or deep skin to find a color that works well for them. I’m hoping they add more shades soon but I’ve found “Chai” works great for me and my medium olive skin tone.
2. Kosas Revealer Concealer Super Creamy and Brightening Concealer –
Talk about hydrating! The Kosas concealer glides on like butter. I love the coverage & hydration the Kosas Revealer Concealer brings to the table. It has medium coverage and is available in sixteen shade options which is amazing. To me, this concealer is comparable to NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. I love the application brush because it has a flat and wide brush head which allows for smooth and quick application. I’ll gladly trade in my other concealers for this cruelty-free, vegan & gluten-free option.
3. Lawless Seal the Deal Loose Setting Powder –
Talc-free & lightweight, this Lawless loose setting powder does a great job at keeping your makeup in place. It comes in four colors, of which I opt for the “Ivory” shade to avoid any possibility of the dreaded camera flashback. I apply it with a big fluffy brush and highly recommend snagging this if you get either/both of the products above. Setting your liquid makeup with a powder is almost always a must to avoid oxidizing or greasiness!
I’ve been wearing this trio of clean beauty options for about a month now and having been loving it. I’m hoping to find more beauty products to replace the toxic ones still in my routine but I’m off to a great start! I hope this post was helpful if you’ve been wanting to switch to a more natural beauty routine, like I am.
Thank you all so much for checking out the blog today & be sure to subscribe to stay up to date on any more clean beauty products that I find along the way!
