I have a confession: I am addicted to architectural salvage. There, I said it ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ I just love old chippy pieces used many years ago and love even more finding new ways to use them. During my typical Saturday morning thrifting I found these cute little architectural pieces for $10 each. I loved how they complimented each other but weren’t the exact same size or design. I am thinking they were old pieces of porch railing but that is just a guess! It’s hard to be sure with something as unique as these. The little shop that I purchased these from had made them into really cute scones which I thought was such a cute idea! I changed a few things once I brought them home and added my own flare but I wanted to share this mini DIY project in case you spot something like these out on your thrifting adventures. All I really needed for this project was the two architectural pieces, some wire (mine is a copper color, love this option for fall), test tubes and your choice of florals/stems. Luckily for me, the shop owner included these little vintage test tubes but you can use little glass jars if you can’t find any! After securing the jar/test tube to the architectural piece with the wire I was able to place a few stems of dried flowers into them. Since the test tubes are so tiny, it only took a few in each.I attached these to our wall using two command strips on the back of each sconce. Unless it is super heavy we hang everything in our home using these. I hate putting holes in our walls…fun fact ๐ I decided to hang them in our powder room on our main level. This room is still such a work in progress but I love how it compliments this little wall. I am looking forward to switching out the florals as the seasons change and since they are pretty neutral they will be able to stay up all year long.If you are looking to recreate this look, I have tagged a few items below that can help! I love this little project and am so happy how they turned out. Share pictures with me if you try this sconce DIY on your own! Thanks for checking out the blog today, it means the world
