You know those spaces in your home that you just want to sit in for hours and never leave? Our living room is that space for me ❤️✨ It has quickly become the room that we spend the most time in. With the holidays officially upon us, I wanted to create a space that was warm and inviting. My vision for this space? Warm neutrals, twinkly lights, fresh pine and silver accents. Anddddd…here it is!
Let’s start with the most important, the tree! This year we went with a live Fraser Fir tree from a local tree stand and we are so happy with it. So far we have had very little needles dropping and the branches are nice and sturdy to hold our heavy glass ornaments. Are we crazy for putting these on the tree with a little puppy?! Maybe…but so far so good! I used a few silver ornaments this year because for some reason a busy tree creates a busy mind for me. I’m weird, I know. This year I am all about simple. I added my favorite ever cable knit garland that I have had since last year and I don’t think I will ever find a garland that I love more. New to us this year is this adorable knit tree skirt. I love all of the texture it adds to the room and how it compliments the garland. This corner of the room makes me smile ☺️
Since we don’t have a mantel or a “traditional” spot to hang our stockings in our living room, I decided to hang them on these antique spindles. I simply looped the stockings through the spindles and set them on our tv stand with a fresh pine garland. I love this idea for displaying stockings and if you’re looking for other ways, check here for the list that I put together!
For our coffee table centerpiece, I wanted to keep it super simple and practical because this is a space that we actually utilize a lot every day. I didn’t want to overwhelm this table with an elaborate centerpiece that wouldn’t work with our lifestyle. I plopped an old bottle crate upside down and topped it with an antique frameless mirror. Remember the silver accents that I was going for? The mirror adds just the right touch. I added a few pine stems and white pillar candles that were left over from our wedding and ta-da! Coffee table centerpiece complete. 🙌🏼✨
Do you guys want to know one of the easiest ways to refresh a space? Throw pillows. This season, I got a few new throws to give this room a little face-lift. I went with a neutral cream tassel pillow and a plaid flannel pillow that reads a little bit more “Christmas”. I’m equally obsessed with both! I will definitely be using these tassel pillows year-round in our home. Gotta love neutrals, am I right!?
This white antique mirror is one of my favorite finds to date. I just love the detail and shape! It has been hanging above our couch for awhile now so I simply added the fresh pine and intertwined an antique silver garland. Isn’t it adorable?! I think Oak is a fan, too 😆💛
My motto for this space? Throw some greenery and pillar candles on it and call it a day. I must say, we are so enjoying this space! There’s just something so magical about this time of year and I am having a blast creating in our new home. I am already excited for all of the memories that we will be making here for years to come ❤️🌲 Thank you all so much for coming over today and letting me show ya around! Come back, anytime! 😊
