I’m sure you’ve seen it all over Instagram. That visually appealing television that looks like a piece of artwork instead of a giant black box covering your wall. I officially introduce you to the Samsung Frame TV.
Let me start by saying, this purchase didn’t happen instantly. For months, I stalked this TV and started saving up for one in our home. It’s definitely a “splurge” item and one that I know not everyone will find the purpose in buying. I’m just really a sucker for the “aesthetic” of things. Yes, even down to my television. (Maybe this is the enneagram four in me?)
The cool thing about this TV? It allows you to set personalized photos as the “screensaver” when the TV is not in use. It truly looks like a picture on the wall and would trick even the most tech-savvy guest. The Samsung TV comes with a unique mounting bracket that allows it to be hung on your wall like a picture frame. Yay for no gaps! It also has a magnetic edge that allows you to adhere different frames to polish off the look.
I grabbed the 50 inch Samsung Frame TV on Amazon Prime Day this year after seeing it marked down a significant 20%. To add a modern and neutral finishing element, I paired the TV with the Beige Bezel frame. I love how the pairing looks in our bedroom above our large dresser. Netflix in bed? Sign me up!
There is a very small cord that connects the TV to the One Connect power box (included with TV price). I was able to discreetly hide the cord by mixing it in with the greenery in the planter on the dresser. The One Connect power box is hidden in the middle door of our dresser. The power box does not need to be visible for the remote to work so no one will ever know it’s there!
The Samsung Frame TV is available in six sizes ranging from 32 to 75 inches. Each TV is able to be customized with frame colors and art of your choice! One thing I didn’t know upon purchase is that in order to access the art on the Samsung Art store, you “subscribe” and pay monthly. I personally opted against this and instead just uploaded art purchased elsewhere (Collection Prints, to be exact!)
Since we’ve never had a Samsung TV before, it took awhile to get used to the format of the television/where to find things. After about a week, we were able to navigate around pretty smoothly & utilize the built-in smart TV options. The picture quality on the Frame TV is impressive. Eli and I both said how much clearer this one is than the television in our living room. It’s night & day!
The Frame, however, does indeed use power when in Art Mode. Samsung claims in Art Mode the TV uses approximately 30% of the power as compared to General TV mode. This is something that maybe I should’ve known on assumption but didn’t realize until it arrived. It does have great features that help cut down on power consumption like motion sensors and night mode. These features are a game changer!
So far, we’re happy with our purchase! I’m actually already planning on saving up for one in our living room – if that says anything at all. I hope this Samsung Frame TV review was helpful! As always, thanks for stopping by the blog & seeing what we’re up to. I appreciate you!
