Can you even believe Christmas is less than a week away!? I am still not sure I can wrap my head around that…😱 Ready or not, it’s on its way! This will probably be my last Christmas post in 2018 so I hope in some way it gets you excited for the holiday coming up 🌲❤️
In our dining room this season, I used all of the flocked trees/garlands that I’ve had for years. This made for a pretty cohesive room, which is always the goal! I found this cable knit runner online from JCPenny and ordered that beauty right away. As you may have noticed…if it has “cable” or “knit” in the description, I’m bound to love it. It’s like a blanket for my table. What gets better than that!? 😍
I added one strand of this flocked pinecone garland from Michaels (wait for the 50% off app coupons!) and kind of bent the garland in various directions to give it a little bit of volume. A wee bit of fluffing, if you will. It gives such a pretty subtle contrast against that runner!
Next up, I added this bell/pom-pom garland to give it a little bit of shine! Since I used gold elements in our bedroom and front porch, I thought that I would switch it up in our dining room and use silver!
Sticking with the silver theme, I picked up two of these candelabras from the Magnolia line at target. They’re round and hold four candlesticks each. I put those under the garland so that they could sit flat on our table but made sure to let some of that pretty metal show through. I love these!
After the candelabras were placed, I added white candlesticks to match the runner. The final touch?! This little silver reindeer right smack-dab in the middle. PS- A fun little tip! When decorating a space, always try to use odd numbers of items. For example, here, I had the two candelabras spread out evenly on the table and it seemed a little too symetrical for my liking. By adding the little reindeer in the middle, the tables cape looks just right.
The thing I love most about this tables cape is that it doesn’t necessarily need to be taken down as soon as Christmas/New Years is over. We will most likely keep this up going into the remainder of winter! Whites and greenery in the winter is my favorite combo. I hope you guys enjoyed this little flocked tablescape. I had a blast putting it together with some new pieces, as well as some old ones. Thank you all for popping by the blog today!
