The holiday of love is just a day away now & I can hardly believe how fast this year is flying by. I’m not a huge decorator when it comes to Valentine’s Day but I always love adding a few touches here & there. Sometimes when it comes to these “smaller” holidays, it just takes a few additions to make your home feel festive and fresh. Here are a few ways I love decorating for Valentine’s Day!
This year, I wanted to liven up our half-bath & bedroom for Valentine’s Day. What better way to celebrate the holiday of love than with some fresh flowers?! I picked a few bundles up from my local Trader Joe’s for a major deal.
I stuck with a Valentine’s Day color scheme – opting for varying pinks, oranges and whites. These colors flow so well together and look stunning when arranged.
Next, I filled an antique crock with a variety of these flowers & also placed some in the antique architectural sconces that we have hanging on the wall. The flowers bring so much life to this room because it’s a pretty neutral color scheme in here. I love how that makes the colors “pop” and make a statement!
Next up was the bedroom. I had lots of flowers leftover after using some in our bathroom. I thought it would be fun to place the remainder on each of the nightstands beside our bed. Nothing that took lots of effort – but it makes me smile seeing these cuties for even a few days. Again, I think the colors look amazing & makes the space feel festive for Valentine’s Day.
For another touch of cheer, I added this handmade knit heart garland to our headboard. I had this made from a friend on Instagram & I’ve used it for the past two years around this time of year. I love how the colors coordinate so well with the neutral textures we have going on in our bedroom already. So cute & just the perfect touch! If you’re looking for similar options, click here!
Sometimes it doesn’t take much to change a space up for an upcoming holiday or season. Less is more! I hope this blog post was insightful in showing that decor doesn’t always need to be complicated or elaborate to make an impact. Decorating for Valentine’s Day can be fun and simple!
I hope you all have a great Valentine’s Day with those you love most & if you’re looking for more Valentine’s Day inspiration, check out these posts!
