Statement Floral Wreath

With the new year officially here, I’ve had the itch-to-switch a few areas of our home. Sometimes all it takes is starting with a clean slate to think up something new. After finishing up the shiplap wall in our living room a few weeks ago, I really wanted to change the decor that we had hanging above our couch.

We’ve had the same mirror & architectural piece hanging above our couch for quite some time now. The shiplap project forced us to take the decor off of our walls and that really made me want to switch it up a bit.

I started brainstorming & looking on Pinterest for fun ideas. I found lots of options like: A shelf, gallery wall, large mirror etc. The possibilities are really endless! While any of these options would have looked amazing, I really wanted something a little fun & different.

A friend of mine posted a photo of a beautiful wreath that she made and I fell in love with it right away! I knew this would be such a fun piece to hang on the new shiplap wall in our living room.

I love the scale of it on the rather large wall. It makes such a statement while still letting lots of the shiplap show through & be seen. I hung this up on our wall using two command hooks so that we didn’t have to mark up the freshly painted wall in any way.

I’m excited to keep this wreath up throughout the seasons because I think it will be fun to switch up the florals/greenery. In the summer, I’m envisioning lots of colorful dried flowers and dried eucalyptus. I can just see it now!

Even though I purchased this beautiful wreath, that doesn’t mean you have to find a florist to have your own. You could totally DIY this idea and hang it in any spot that you have in mind!
